  1. What are the variants of the GetGo Prepaid Cards?

    There are two types of GetGo Prepaid Cards:

    GetGo Virtual Prepaid

    The GetGo Virtual Prepaid by UnionBank is a virtual reloadable prepaid card which you can use online to purchase goods and services from Visa- accredited merchants worldwide. It is issued instantly upon application and has a Php 50,000 monthly load limit.

    The GetGo Virtual Prepaid also comes with a new pre-linked 10-digit GetGo loyalty number shown at the front of the virtual card image.

    GetGo Peso+ Prepaid Card

    The GetGo Peso+ Prepaid Card (hence referred to as by "GetGo Peso+ Card") by UnionBank is a multi-currency reloadable prepaid card which you can use to purchase goods and services from Visa-accredited merchants worldwide and withdraw cash from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) abroad bearing the Visa logo and at ATMs in the Philippines bearing the BancNet logo.

    The GetGo Peso+ Card also serves as your new GetGo loyalty card as it has a pre-linked 10-digit GetGo number shown in front of the card and allows you to earn more points from other GetGo partner merchants (i.e. Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Supermarket etc.)

  2. Are the GetGo Virtual Prepaid and GetGo Peso+ Prepaid Cards considered bank accounts or credit cards?

    Neither. Both the GetGo Virtual Prepaid and GetGo Peso+ Cards are NOT credit cards but they function similar to one. You must load money into them before you can use for purchases in VISA affiliated merchants**. They are also NOT deposit accounts hence do not earn interest and the funds therein are not insured with the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation. However, both cards are subject to the rules and regulations of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA).

  5. I am already a GetGo member. If I get the GetGo Virtual Prepaid and/or GetGo Peso+ Card, can I still use my existing GetGo membership number?

    Yes, but you need to link the GetGo number shown/ printed on your GetGo Virtual Prepaid and/or GetGo Peso+ Prepaid Cards to your existing GetGo membership number. When you fill out the application form, make sure to input the same email address you registered in your existing GetGo account. Here's how you link the two numbers:

    Step 1: Visit www.getgo.com.ph

    Step 2: Log in to your current GetGo membership account.

    Step 3: Go to Profile and click on "Link Accounts"

    Step 4: Click on "Link" under "Got a new GetGo Number?" and input the GetGo number shown/ printed on your GetGo Virtual Prepaid and/or GetGo Peso+ Prepaid Cards

  6. I am already a GetGo member. My application for my GetGo Virtual Prepaid and/or GetGo Peso+ Card has a different email address than my existing GetGo membership number, what will I do? Can I still link both GetGo membership numbers?

    Yes, you may still link both membership numbers and. Just follow these steps:

    Step 1: Visit www.getgo.com.ph

    Step 2: Log in to your current GetGo membership account.

    Step 3: Go to Request and click on "Submit a request"

    Step 4: Fill out the form and indicate your new GetGo membership number that you would like to merge with your existing account

    Step 5: Chose "Account" > "Profile Update" in the Topic drop-down

  7. I'm not yet a GetGo Member. Can I get any of the GetGo Prepaid Cards?

    Yes. When you get any of the GetGo Prepaid Cards, you will be automatically enrolled to the GetGo program and will have a GetGo number pre-linked on your GetGo Prepaid card.

  8. What's the main difference of the GetGo Virtual Prepaid vs GetGo Peso+ Card? What is best for me?

    That depends! If you want a card mainly for online/ecommerce or mobile in-app purchases, then GetGo Virtual Prepaid will be best for you. It does NOT have a physical card and your card details will be available when you log in your online app or website account. It has a maximum of PHP 50,000 card balance, can be used to send money to other GetGo Virtual Prepaid or GetGo Peso+ cardholders, and lets you earn 1 GetGo point for every PHP 100 Visa purchase online.

    However, if you want a card that can do more aside from payments to online/ecommerce or mobile in-app purchases, then GetGo Peso+ Card will be the best fit. The GetGo Peso+ Card has a physical, plastic card that can be used to pay for Visa-accredited merchants or to withdraw cash in any Visa or BancNet Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). The card can also be used to send money to another GetGo Peso+ or GetGo Virtual Prepaid cardholders and convert your PHP up to 8 other currencies. It has a maximum PHP 450,000 card balance and lets you earn 1 GetGo point for every PHP 88 Visa purchase.

  9. Can I get multiple GetGo Virtual Prepaid and/or GetGo Peso+ Cards?

    A person can only get a maximum of 1 active GetGo Virtual Prepaid and 1 active GetGo Peso+ Card.

  10. I have a GetGo Peso+ Card now, can I also get a GetGo Virtual Prepaid?

    Yes. You can still avail of GetGo Virtual Prepaid even if you have an active GetGo Peso+ Card.

  11. Can I get a GetGo Virtual Prepaid first, then later on get a GetGo Peso+ Card?

    Yes. Even if you have an active GetGo Virtual Prepaid, you can later on apply for a GetGo Peso+ Card.

  12. If I have both GetGo Virtual Prepaid and GetGo Peso+ Cards, will I have a single online User ID and Password?

    Yes, you will have single online User ID and Password if you get both GetGo Virtual Prepaid and GetGo Peso+ Prepaid Cards.

  13. Who are eligible to get a GetGo Virtual Prepaid and/or GetGo Peso+ Cards?

    GetGo Virtual Prepaid and GetGo Peso+ Cards are available to anyone who is at least 12 years old and can provide the required identification documents.

    No. Funds from your GetGo Virtual Prepaid will remain even if you upgraded or have an active GetGo Peso+ Card. You may transfer load from your GetGo Virtual Prepaid to your GetGo Peso+ Card for a minimal fee of Php 20.

  35. How do I dispute a transaction?

    Please immediately call the 24-Hour Hotline- (632) 981-3699 or Universal Toll Free- IAC +800-8277-2273. You must fill up a dispute form which will then be submitted via email.

  36. Do you have charges for dispute?

    Any invalid dispute or fraud, upon Bank's thorough investigation, will charge a customer PHP 1,000 deducted automatically to card's balance.

  37. What is the validity of my GetGo Virtual Prepaid?

    Your GetGo Virtual Prepaid will only be valid for 3 years but your GetGo membership number will still be active and can be used afterwards. The expiration date (MM/YY) of the GetGo Virtual Prepaid will be shown in front of the card.

    Any remaining load on your expired GetGo Virtual Prepaid will be kept safe but inaccessible. You can apply for a new GetGo Virtual Prepaid and call the 24-Hour Hotline- (632) 981-3699 or Universal Toll Free- IAC +800-8277-2273 to transfer the amount.

    Step 2: Create an online account by entering your 16-digit card number on the lower left side of the page. Click "Register" and follow the on-screen instructions.

  49. How do I check the balance of my GetGo Peso+ Card?

    Option 1

    Step 1: Log in to your GetGo Peso+ App with your user ID and password.

    Step 2: You will be able to check your balance immediately after logging in to your online account.

    Step 1: You can check your card's balance in any ATM with the VISA or BancNet logos.

    Step 2: Choose Savings Account. You will be entering your 6-digit PIN before every transaction in the ATM. (Note: ATM fees will apply)

    Step 3: You can then choose Balance Inquiry to check your balance.

    Note that when you check your balance in an ATM abroad, you will only see the wallet balance of the currency of the ATM. If there is no wallet that matches the currency of the ATM, balance inquiry will not be available.

    Your PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a unique 6-digit secure number assigned to your card and known only to you. The PIN allows you to proceed with your POS purchase and to withdraw cash from any BancNet or Visa ATM.

    Upon issuance, the default PIN of your GetGo Peso+ Card is the last 6 digits of your GetGo Peso+ card number. For security purposes, please change your PIN immediately.

    You simply present your GetGo Peso+ Card to the cashier and affix your signature in the sales slip. Note that some terminals will require you to input your 6-digit PIN.

    Likewise, you may also use GetGo Peso+ Card's Visa PayWave functionality. Just check for the signal sign on the POS terminal and tap your GetGo Peso+ Card to process the amount.

  67. What is Visa PayWave?

    Visa PayWave is a new payment feature that lets you pay for your purchases quicker and in a more convenient way. You don't need to sign any receipt or enter any PIN to pay, you just tap-and-go. This saves you time - shorter transaction times mean you spend less time in queues.
    Here are the steps:

    • Just look for the symbol signal on your POS terminal upon checkout
    • Wave your card in front of the POS terminal reader and wait for confirmation.
    • Ask for the receipt then you're good to go.
  68. How do I use the GetGo Peso+ Card for online shopping and mobile app purchases?

    When shopping online, booking a ticket, or making in-app purchases, a typical payment page will require the information below.

    Your GetGo Peso+ Card will only be valid for a maximum of 5 years but your GetGo membership number will still be active and can be used afterwards. The expiration date (MM/YY) of the GetGo Peso+ Card will be printed in front of the card.

    Any remaining load on your expired GetGo Peso+ Card will be kept safe but inaccessible. You can apply for a new GetGo Peso+ Card and call the 24-Hour Hotline- (632) 981-3699 or Universal Toll Free- IAC +800-8277-2273 to transfer the amount.

    There is no redemption process required to convert your card points to GetGo points. Your earned points will be accumulated monthly and automatically transferred to your linked GetGo account within 14 days of the following month.
